Barrie Police Service has confirmed that effective January 1st, 2008, Police Checks including vulnerable persons (form 1) are now FREE for Volunteers. They do ask for a letter from the organization to say that the person is applying to volunteer for your organization.
Good news for all!
To get your Criminal Reference Check, just pop into your local OPP office with the letter from the volunteer organization and request one. Keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks to process!
